Lake Naivasha and the surrounding area have much to offer for students of all backgrounds.

Hells Gate National Park
More wildlife can be found in nearby Hells Gate National Park. Hells Gate is an ideal place to visit on a field trip. The park offers visitors a large variety  of plain's game and spectacular scenery. Many different raptors also nest on the cliff face.

One of the best advantages of visiting Hells Gate is that one can walk amongst the game. The park is also very interesting for its unique geology and its volcanic formations. By walking in the gorge visitors can see steam vents and other volcanic activity.

Mt. Longonot
A trek up nearby Mt. Longonot, a 2800 metre extinct volcano, is another interesting day's outing.  Gazelle, Zebra, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Warthog, Buffaloe and Kongoni can all be seen at Mt. Longonot National Park.

Crater Lake
Another unique volcanic formation in the area is Crater Lake with its emerald green coloured water.
