Beverly Kelly, Florida, USA June 2010 “ I want to express my deepest gratitude to you for making my 80th birthday such a memorable occasion. Awaking to a new decade in Joy Adamson's bedroom was a thrill I shall treasure forever. The breakfast feast was extraordinary (including the crocodile shaped bread!) with celebratory champagne and a cake topped with lighted candles and presented by the chefs with appropriate singing. My family was very moved by the atmosphere of Elsamere---the beauty and dedication to conservation.” |

By : Sarah Howard Sherlock Thank you Elsa Conservation Trust UK for allowing me to look at your collection of Joy's botanical paintings. They are absolutely lovely. Joy made a real contribution in depicting Kenya's wild flowers in her art; no-one has yet matched her in either the scale of her work or in the exquisitely fine detail. It's wonderful to know there is also a collection in the Nairobi Museum. |

By : Jack & Marg Alexander Nov 2009 Thank you Sam for ensuring our stay at Elsamere was such a wonderfully memorable time. We were struck by the authenticity of it and the tranquil beautiful surroundings. Your entire staff was consistently professional whilst being genuinely friendly and helpful – and we enjoyed delicious food at every meal! At no time did we feel like tourists”, but rather like welcome guests at the Adamson home. As difficult as it was to leave, we left with a greater understanding of the Adamson’s work; of the necessity of maintaining that fine balance with nature as well as feeling personally rested and rejuvenated! Please do extend our appreciation to all of your staff. |
